Mohegan Sun Casino Trip

On Saturday March 31st Rileys will be sponsoring a bus trip to Mohegan Sun. This is a fundraiser to help raise money for our 2013 Disney Trip! There are only 14 tickets left! We will be departing from the Bobs stores commuter lot at 5 pm and returning at 1230 am. Tickets are $40.00 and include the round trip bus ride, a $15 food voucher and a $10 gambling voucher. What a great deal! This is a great night out for all our Riley Parents and their friends. We hope to see you all there!

A Tribute to Marion Walsh Riley

On Saturday March 10th the Skyline Restaurant will be hosting a dinner show in honor of Marion Walsh Riley. Tickets are $40 and include a dinner buffet and a great show featuring Jimmy Mazz. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Marion Walsh Riley Scholarship fund. Cocktails will be served starting at 6 followed by dinner at 7 and the show. What a wonderful way to pay tribute to a woman who has touched many lives. Through events like this and our annual golf tournaments Rileys has given over two hundred thousand dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors. Tickets will be on sale starting Wednesday, February 15th. They can be purchased at the studio, through the skyline restaurant or by calling Brenna DaSilva (860 8030580). Tickets must be purchased ahead of time and cannot be bought at the door. We hope to see all of you on March 10th!

Pointe Shoes!

Every young ballerina dreams of the day when their ballet teacher tells them they are ready to go up on pointe! For the past few years Rileys have developed a pre pointe class to ready our students for their first pair of pointe shoes. There are many factors that go into our decision to put our students up on pointe. Age, strength, flexibility and ballet technique all play a part in deciding whether we feel a student is ready for pointe shoes. That day our students dream of has arrived for four Riley's students! Congratulations to Allie Angelica, Kate Bardy, Bridgette Hattie, and Laura Scanlon on receiving your first pair of pointe shoes!

Riley's Holiday Benefit Raises $8,000 for Soup Kitchen

We are so proud to announce that the Hunger Has no Season Holiday Benefit has raised $8,000 for Enfield Loaves and Fishes. Our students put on two amazing performances that got everyone watching in the Christmas spirit. The day after our show we presented Priscilla with the check! She was so happy to inform us that our donation was the biggest she has ever received from an organization. We would like to thank our students parents and staff as well as all of the people throughout the community who time after time are there to show their support. This is truly what the holidays are all about. Great job everyone we couldn't be more proud of our Rileys Family. Please visit our photo galleries for more pictures of the show!

Riley's Students take HipHop Master Class

This past weekend Brenna took a few of her advance hiphop students to Fairfield CT where they took a master class with Paul and Brian Herman. Paul and Brian have worked with the likes of Kat Deluna, Chris Brown, Rhianna, Eve and others! We had a great time learning a high energy combo! Thanks to Jennie, Amanda and Jessie for giving up your Saturday and working it out!

We are excited to announce that Riley's School of dance will be putting on our second annual Holiday Benefit. Last year our Holiday Show raised over nine thousand dollars to benefit Kym's Kause. This year our proceeds will be going to The Enfield Soup kitchen.Tickets are $10 and can be picked up at the studio starting Monday October 24th. We hope to see you all on December 4th! Come get yourself in the holiday mood and give back at the same time, which is truly what the holidays are all about!

Riley's Glow Ball

We are happy to report that this year the Riley's Glow Ball Golf Tournament has raised $2300! We had 66 golfers in the tournament this year and raised $410 on our Patriots tickets raffle. The winner of the two Patriots tickets is Jessie Schulen! Congrats Jessie! All in all it was a great tournament and the winning team won with an impressive six under! Congrats to Scott and Mike Sweeny and their team. Here are a few pictures courtesy of Kelly Fisher.

Welcome back! We hope the first couple of weeks went smoothly and that our students and parents are happy and settled in their new class schedules. As always we thank you for your patience as it took us a good couple weeks to get our students placed in the proper classes. We ask that when you receive your October tuition that you double check to make sure it is correct as we have made many changes in the first month. We have a couple of upcoming events that we would like to share with you.

Patriots Tickets Raffle

Riley's will be raffling off two Patriots tickets:
Monday November 21st.
Patriots vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Section 137 Row 9

Tickets are $5 each and proceeds will go towards the scholarship fund. They will begin to go on sale Monday September 26th for two weeks, The winner will be picked at the Glow Ball tournament on October 8th!

Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Sale

The sale will begin Monday, October 3rd and go until Friday, October 21st. Delivery will be on Friday, November 18th. All sales will benefit the 2013 Disney Trip's General Fund. We try to do as many fund raisers as possible, to make the trip more affordable for our Riley's families. Sale Packets can be picked up at the desk starting on Monday October 3rd. Every little bit counts!

Glow Ball Golf Tournament

The Annual Riley's Glow Ball will be held on October 8th, at Grassmere Country Club. We are still looking for volunteers to work and Golfers to join! Sign up forms can be found at the desk.
